On the weekend of 24/25 July 2010, our partnership with Home Retail Group was officially announced. Together we will help more young people in the UK fight cancer - by building specialist cancer units designed to feel like a 'home from home'.
Partnership aims
- To make our partnership engaging and fun for everyone across the business
- Raise as much money as possible to help young people fight cancer
- Increase the awareness of teenage cancer, our work, and how we can help young people in need of our support
Where the money is going
The partnership with Home Retail Group will have a huge impact on the lives of young people...
We currently have 16 specialist units across the UK and Northern Ireland. Our aim is to build enough units so that every young person with cancer has access to one.
Over the next two years Teenage Cancer Trust is planning to develop an additional 18 units. All the money raised by Home Retail Group will help us fund this ambitious building programme and help transform the lives of young people in your area and across the UK.

Young ambassadors
Young patients and ex-patients
We have a group of young ambassadors, volunteering their time to help with the partnership. Each individual will represent one of the 16 Teenage Cancer Trust units we currently have built.
If you would like a young ambassador to attend a fundraising event, or be part of a media photoshoot, contact one of the key contacts at the top of this page...and we will do our best to support you.

The ‘Home from Home’ environment helps create a sense of normality; so you might find pool tables, games, jukeboxes, and computers in them. Patients and their friends can chat on webcams. They can also decide what time they would like to get up, what to eat and when, and they can have friends and family to stay over whenever they fancy. It’s about giving teenagers the chance to be themselves.
