On Saturday 12th June 2010, up to 37 riders will embark upon a 37 mile bike ride from Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge to the Datchworth Village Fete, Hertfordshire to raise money for the Addenbrookes Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Trust (TCT)Unit Appeal.
Description
My eldest daughter Charlotte was diagnosed with cancer last year, she was initially treated at the TCT ward in Sheffield. Charlotte is now under treatment at Addenbrookes where work will shortly commence on a new TCT (Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Trust) ward, due to open in December 2010. As a family we clearly understand the benefits of a TCT ward and the aim of this bike ride is to raise as much money as possible to help ensure the ward is fully equipped and opens as soon as possible. This is my fundraising page, the overall aim of the ride was a minimum target of over £3,000 for the unit at Addenbrookes ( ## we now expect to raise over £21,500 amazing ! thank you to everyone involved. ##).
