Run For Zoe
21/03/10
The Route
Well time is closing in and the big run will go ahead over the Easter weekend. There have been one or two changes to the line up following injuries, a few minor tweaks to how the run will go ahead, but I can now confirm that the following will run the 72.9 miles from Canterbury to Chessington on Saturday 3rd, Sunday 4th and Monday 5th April:
Kevin Stone - Running the full Mileage
Paul Stone - Running the full mileage
Michael Straker, Daniel Brett and Ben Rendall will be running the whole distance as a relay team in support of me and Paul. We will all start and finish each day of the run together and then each of the above will run legs of approximately 3 to 4 miles.
My son Michael Stone will join us on the last day and run a distance of 10Km - 6.4 Miles and cross the finish line with us all.
Day one will take a route from Canterbury, along the A2 to Chatham passing through Harbledown, Dunkirk, Boughton Under Blean, Ospringe, Stone Chapel, Norton Ash, Bapchild, Sittingbourne, Newington, Rainham before finishing in Chatham 26.2 miles later.
The second and third are yet to be 100% confirmed, but it is expected to take a route on day 2 from Chatham to Rochester, Strood, Shorne, Chalk, Gravesend, Northfleet, Dartford, Crayford, Welling and finishing at Greenwich Observatory.
Day 3 will be a slightly shorter distance measuring a mere 20.5 miles which will take us from Greenwich Observatory, out through New Cross, Peckham, Camberwell, Lambeth, Clapham, Wandsworth, down Roehampton Vale, along the A3 to Tolworth and then onto Chessington.
Please please please show your support for Teenage Cancer Trust and sponsor us in our bid to run our target distance of 72.9 miles. The Teenage Cancer Trust is the only charity specifically dedicated to building and equipping Units for young people suffering from cancer, Hodgkin’s disease, leukaemia and related problems. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
