Scott Williams Memorial 4x4 Challenge,July 10th & 11th West Harptree, near Bristol, Each entered team targeted to raise a minimum of £50 in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust
Description
For the fourth year running Bristol and West Off Road Club (BWORC) and 4x4Adventures will be teaming up to put on a 2 day memorial event in memory of Scott Williams. Booked for the 10th & 11th July each entered team will endure various Special Stages and team challenges, to test their off road driving skills to the limit. After Scott sadly passed away in May 2007 from a long struggle against cancer, The BWORC committee along with the support of Steve, Carol and Jade, Scott’s family, were keen to put together an event in recognition of Scott and his whole hearted ‘get up and get on’ approach to life. Scott along with the other 4x4 Winch Challenge Competitors from BWORC were keen, regular entrants to the various 4x4Adventures Challenge events so this was an obvious combination. It was decided that a good way to remember him would be to run a two day challenge aimed at all levels for their fellow club members, therefore making it a fun recognition event rather than a full on competition but, giving everyone an insight into the 4x4 challenge scene. Some outstanding prizes have been designed and put together by Steve Williams along with a memento for every competitor. So it is still very much a competition – but with a relaxed atmosphere. With the emphasis on raising funds in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust. Articles on past events can be viewed on The Bristol & West Off Road Club website Any support/donation you can contribute will be greatly appreciated.Thank you for taking the time to read this.Bill Rich, Chairman, Bristol & West Off Road Club
