Art auction in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust
Contemporary art and music were top of the agenda at the recent fundraiser held in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust at the infamous Groucho Club in London on 3rd May.
Jake Chapman, one half of the famous Chapman Brothers, hosted the evening and was among those who donated works to the cause. Other contributors included Mat Collishaw, Polly Morgan, Jamie Hewlett, Charming Baker, Johnathan Yeo and Horace Panter of The Specials.
However, the night wasn’t just about the auction of this world-renowned art it was about the tunes! Former patient, BRIT Schooler and upcoming singer-songwriter Rosanna Connelly performed, while Friendly Fires and dance duo Groove Armada both played exclusive DJ sets adding further to the cool factor ensuring guests grooved away into the night all in the name of the charity. The event was attended by a number of high profile celebrities including supermodel Kate Moss, Jade Jagger, Dominic West, Sadie Frost, Meg Matthews, Bobbie Gillespie, Noel Fielding and Caroline Flack and raised an incredible £65,000 in just one night.
Huge thanks must go to benefactor Darren Strowger whose committee were responsible for organising this event along with the amazing team at The Groucho Club, London. Keep your eyes peeled for further link ups with The Groucho over the summer!
