Ecstasy Premiere and After-Party

On 17 April the Ministry of Sound will host the world premiere of Irvine Welsh’s Ecstasy followed by the Ultimate Ecstasy After-Party in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Based on Irvine Welsh’s controversial book, Ecstasy: Three Tales of Chemical Romance, Ecstasy is a twisted tale that explores the euphoric highs and the devastating lows of a chemical romance. Directed by Rob Heydon and starring Billy Boyd, Adam Sinclair and Kristin Kreuk, the film also features music from some of the industry’s biggest names, including Tiesto & Mark Knight, Coldplay, Orbital, Primal Scream, Paul Oakenfold, Bonjay, The Mahones and Hawksley Workman.

After the premiere the club will then open to the public for the after-party, featuring some of the artists that worked on the soundtrack alongside world class DJ’s and support from live PA’s including Mark Knight, Basement Jaxx, Richy Ahmed, Angie Brown, Dave Spoon and many more. Tickets are on sale now for £10 and available from ministryofsound.com

“The cast and crew were inspired to support Teenage Cancer Trust after a cast member was diagnosed with cancer during pre-production. As a result of this personal connection, they have chosen to donate proceeds from ticket sales to Teenage Cancer Trust. Music is synonymous with Irvine Welsh’s film adaptations and we know it’s also a huge part of most young people’s lives, no matter what they’re going through. It’s fantastic that we can bring it all together to help transform the lives of young people with cancer in the UK. We’re extremely grateful for their support.” - Teenage Cancer Trust
