Music workshops
Every year Teenage Cancer Trust Patron and The Who frontman, Roger Daltrey CBE, hosts a week of concerts at London's Royal Albert Hall to raise vital funds for the charity.
Bringing young people together
During this week we invite patients and friends from around the UK to join us at the Royal Albert Hall. Our guests are able to take part in a fantastic music workshop during which they get to play instruments, write songs, share their own experiences and form new friendships.
Teenage Cancer Trust works hard to give these young people an amazing experience. Those involved will either be receiving treatment, in remission or in the palliative stages of the disease. For some, the supportive, positive atmosphere of the workshops enables them to reflect on personal experiences and journeys. For others, the sessions simply allow them to forget about the difficulties and traumas of treatment and concentrate on being a teenager again.
We invite young people from across the country and many of the young people attending will be receiving treatment on a designated Teenager Cancer Trust unit. We also strive to invite young people currently being treated on non Teenage Cancer Trust units.
A large number of young people suffering from cancer continue to be treated on either adult or paediatric wards; many of these young people have never met another teenager with cancer. Teenage Cancer Trust strives to provide these young people with the opportunity to share experiences, grow in confidence and receive peer support.

This conference gives young people who have had cancer a chance to share their experiences with people their own age who ahve had similar expereinces.
