“I’d say Teenage Cancer Trust knows as well as anyone can what it’s like to be a teenager with cancer.” Nick, 17, Ewing’s Sarcoma

The importance of being cared for by people who understand what you’re going through cannot be underestimated. It’s the staff that make it feel like a home from home.

Teenage Cancer Trust Leadership Scholarships

To further develop nurses’ skills, with the help of the Raisa Gorbachev Foundation, Teenage Cancer Trust is teaming up with The Florence Nightingale Foundation to deliver a portfolio of scholarships.

Teenage Cancer Trust has pioneered development of specialist teenage units in partnership with the NHS. Alongside this, we have been developing training opportunities for nurses, doctors and allied health professionals to enhance the knowledge, skills and expertise of staff. National policy now supports those initiatives and the UK is leading the world in developing specialist teenage and young adult cancer facilities.

Last year the Raisa GorbachevFoundation awarded 24 Travel, 24 Research and 18 Leadership Scholarships but this year would like to award more thanks to new sponsor partnerships like that with Teenage Cancer Trust.

Applications for 2012-13 Scholarships have now closed.
