Florence + the Machine - 3 April

Florence + the Machine - 3 April

The unsurpassable Florence + the Machine will play an explosive grand finale on Tuesday 3 April with guitar wielding Big Deal as support.

An unmissable evening in the intimate setting of the Royal Albert Hall, whose grand design perfectly complemented the band’s huge sound. The Brit Award winner and Grammy nominee’s set featured hits from one of the best selling albums of 2009 and 2010, Lungs, including Kiss With A Fist and Dog Days Are Over, and Ceremonials, which debuted at number one in October 2011 and has already gone onto sell 1.8 million copies around the world. This was Florence’s second performance for Teenage Cancer Trust after playing alongside Antony and the Johnsons in 2009. Support on the night came from Big Deal.

Big Deal

Big Deal are American boy (Kacey Underwood) and British girl (Alice Costelloe), and write rock music, but certainly not as we know it. With voices and guitars stripped down and rubbed close to the bone, Big Deal write love songs with their nerve endings on display, all raw emotion and duelling contrasts, giving glimpses of a concealed world of hurt, angst, loss and longing.
