Castle Hill Hospital
Wards 32 and 33 make up the Teenage Cancer Trust unit at Castle Hill Hospital in Hull. The unit is designed for 16-24 year olds and has four in-patient beds. All bedrooms are equipped with soft furnishings, bespoke furniture, TV, DVD and gaming facilities, plus we provide laptops and free Wifi.
Teenage Cancer Trust funds three expert staff at the unit:
They make sure each person having treatment at Castle Hill gets the best possible quality care and is treated as a young person first, cancer patient second.
We opened our Castle Hill unit in December 2011, and it provides shared care with St James’s Hospital in Leeds.
