“Whilst it is regrettable that individuals choose to profit from the resale of tickets to charitable events, it is a reality today.
We are working with eBay to ensure that all sellers of tickets for Teenage Cancer Trust concerts donate at least 20% of the final sale price to us. eBay will also match the percentage donation made by its sellers. We also ask that other secondary ticket agents enforce a similar policy to that of eBay UK.
Whilst this is a positive development, we would urge individuals not to buy tickets if their only intention is to resell them, so that true fans can purchase tickets through official channels, where prices have been set fairly.”
The official ticket sales will go online via See tickets at 9am on Friday 5 Febraury 2010.
