‘Strictly Come Dancing’ stars, Nicole and Matthew Cutler, will be taking to the dance floor in June, for a special fundraising event in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.

Tickets for the sparkling dinner dance, ‘It Just Takes Two … for Teenage Cancer Trust’ on Saturday 27 June 2009 at the Renaissance Hotel in Manchester, are now on sale.

The black-tie evening is being organised by 21-year-old Matt Hughes, who is now in remission after having been treated for leukaemia at Teenage Cancer Trust’s unit at the Christie hospital, Manchester.

This is the second year that Matt from Denton, has organised the dinner dance in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust. Matt’s girlfriend, Kimberley Hunt, 20, also from Denton will be helping. He said: “I was lucky enough to be treated on Teenage Cancer Trust’s unit at Christies which meant I got to meet other young people like me who had cancer. We could talk to each other about what was happening to us during the bad times, and laugh with each other during the good times. Without their support, it would have been a very different experience. Unfortunately not every young person with cancer has the chance to be treated on a Teenage Cancer Trust unit, which is why I hope to raise as much money through “It Just Takes Two” as possible.”

Matthew Cutler who last year partnered BBC star, Christine Bleakley and previously won Strictly Come Dancing with pop-singer, Alesha Dixon, added: “Teenage Cancer Trust is a great cause – Nicole and I are delighted to be supporting the charity this summer. I was surprised to hear that six young people are diagnosed with cancer every day. Teenage Cancer Trust aims to ensure that every young person with cancer has access to one of their specialist treatment centres, and we really hope this event will help them achieve this.”

For £45, guests will enjoy a three-course meal, followed by an auction, musical entertainment and a spectacular performance from Nicole and Matthew Cutler. The duo will treat guests to three dance sequences followed by a question and answer session for the audience. Guests can then take to the dance floor until the early hours of the morning. Doors will open at 19.00 with dinner served at 20.30.
