Regional Education and Advocacy Manager South - Home Based

Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT) is committed to making life better for young people with cancer – giving hope and inspiring confidence when it’s most needed.

The Regional Education and Advocacy Manager - South is a home based role, ideally in the Bristol area, and will cover the South West, South Wales, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

A Welsh speaker is highly desirable for this role.

The main responsibilities of this role are to increase and improve knowledge and awareness of the issues relating to teenage cancer, particularly among the teenage and young adult population and to assist on the development and implementation of regional strategies.

The successful candidate will deliver a regional education programme to schools, colleges, universities, clubs, societies and other similar organisations within the region in order to raise awareness of cancer and related illnesses in the teenage and young adult population; to explain how Teenage Cancer Trust can help patients and their families. You will also work to improve and increase the services offered to teenagers and young adult patients both during and post treatment by such programmes as the ‘Patient Referral’ system and ‘The Way Forward’ (a post treatment personal development programme for teenage and young adult cancer patients).

You will be someone with exceptional presentation skills with the confidence to speak to a wide variety of audiences, strong inter-personal skills and a proven organised approach to your work.

Salary up to £30k (dep on experience) plus car allowance.

Benefits include pension, health cover, life assurance and 25 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays.
