Teens and young adults ‘feel abandoned’ by friends during cancer treatment

New research* from charity Teenage Cancer Trust has revealed that during treatment for cancer three quarters of young people found their friendships changed – with more than half (55%) finding friends stopped contacting them as much, and over a third (40%) finding some stopped contacting them completely.
