The 5 bedded new unit is part of the £4.5 million development at Queen’s Medical Hospital, and means young people will be able to receive the best quality care with other people their own age in a place designed just for them.

Talking about the development, Professor Richard Grundy, Paediatric Neuro-Oncology Consultant, said:

This is a great moment in the history of the Nottingham Children’s Hospital, and a moment we have each been waiting for. Patients, families and staff are all very excited about this development for the Nottingham Children’s Hospital which will give us first-class facilities to match the first-class care provided by our staff.”
