Here at Teenage Cancer Trust, we think it's important to visibly stand with the LGBTQ+ community but the rainbow logos on our social media are not just a sign of support.
They're a promise to do more.
We're proud to fund staff across the country who work hard to support LGBTQ+ young people with cancer. We're proud that young people with cancer on our units are treated with respect, no matter how they identify.
However we think we can do more for the LGBTQ+ community.
We think it's important to support LGBTQ+ young people with cancer throughout the year, not just in June.
Over the next year, we'll be exploring how we can be the best possible allies for LGBTQ+ young people and their families. We want to make sure that the great work done by our staff at hospitals across the UK to support LGBTQ+ young people with cancer is replicated throughout our organisation.
We'd also like to hear from you. If you have any thoughts about how we can support LGBTQ+ young people with cancer and their families, please get in touch.
