Louise has been Director of Services at the charity since September 2019 and was previously Teenage Cancer Trust Nurse Consultant at UCLH (University College London Hospitals) NHS Foundation Trust. The new post has been created to enable the charity to maintain expert clinical leadership in teenage and young adult cancer, ensuring its frontline teams working in the NHS are supported and developed to maximise their benefit to young people with cancer.

The charity has also appointed David Crosby as interim Director of Services and Impact and he will join us on 16th November. David will focus on ensuring we have outstanding services for young people with cancer, brilliant partnerships with the NHS and the evidence to prove the impact of our work.

David is a strategic cancer charity services leader with a significant breadth of skills and experience. Most recently David led and managed Breast Cancer Now’s Services directorate where he effectively scaled up its core service delivery and reach, and previously led Macmillan Cancer Support’s service delivery in Central and South West England.

Announcing the appointments, Kate Collins, Chief Executive said:

For 30 years we have been working to ensure young people with cancer are not forgotten and lost in a system that is not designed for them. These two appointments will ensure we can provide young people with cancer with the very best services right now and for the months and years to come. I am delighted that Louise is taking on this exciting new role and it is brilliant to have David joining our team while we recruit to the permanent Director of Services & Impact role.

Recruitment to a permanent Director of Services and Impact will begin in the near future.
