Roger Daltrey with Ben Lewis

Roger Daltrey with Ben Lewis, Managing Director of Young Voices

Last year the partnership raised £135,000. Bringing the total raised from the partnership to £233,000 since it began two years ago.  Young Voices aims to inspire children to discover their love for music. Each night, between 5,000-8,000 children perform as a single choir to a sold-out audience of family and friends.

This year around 150,000 children will be taking part in 23 concerts around the country, in five of the UK’s biggest venues: Manchester Arena; O2 in London; Flydsa Arena in Sheffield and Genting Arena in Birmingham. Plus, for the first time Young Voices perform at Wembley for a special one off event!

Returning for a second year will be vocalist Tony Hadley, the former frontman of 80s Romantics band, Spandau Ballet, which earned him the accolade of being one of pop music’s greatest vocalists.

Every year Young Voices selects a special charity to work alongside. The selected charity mirrors the values and goals of Young Voices – that music enhances life, that children deserve the best, and that teachers should be encouraged so that they can develop an understanding of music in their pupils. 2020 will be our third year as the chosen charity partner.

Ben Lewis, Managing Director of Young Voices said:

I’m thrilled that through this partnership we will once again be able to help raise vital funds as well as create more awareness of the incredible work that Teenage Cancer Trust provides. Teenage Cancer Trust makes sure that the seven young people aged 13 – 24 who are diagnosed with cancer in the UK every day, don’t face it alone.

"It's truly brilliant that Young Voices are partnering with Teenage Cancer Trust for their 2020 season. We've worked with Teenage Cancer Trust for years and know how committed they are to making sure that young people don’t face cancer alone," said Ollie and James Phelps, actors and Teenage Cancer Trust Ambassadors. "They are there at every stage, from diagnosis through treatment and after treatment.

Both Young Voices and Teenage Cancer Trust understand the magical quality music has to enhance lives and inspire young people – we’re so pleased to see the two of them working together.

We're looking for volunteers to support our fundraising with Young Voices at each concert. If you're interested, sign up with our registration form
