Teenage Cancer Trust benefits from Warped UK for the second year running and smashes 2012’s fundraising record.
London’s historic Alexandra Palace was transformed into a seething mass of punk-fuelled energy as the Vans Warped Tour rolled into London. With only the very best in punk and metal performing for over 15,000 fans over two days, Warped UK is now officially one of the festival calendar’s highlights of the year!
Over £3,000 was raised for Teenage Cancer Trust via guest list donations and our stall which saw the likes of While She Sleeps, Crossfaith and Sonic Boom Six stop by to meet fans and support the charity. Parkway Drive also raffled off an exclusive prize in aid of the charity, offering one lucky winner the chance to meet the Aussie five-piece and watch them from side of stage throughout their performance.
Lead vocalist Winston McCall said: “Teenage Cancer Trust do amazing work and help make a big difference where it counts the most. The fact that they are the only charity in the UK dedicated to helping teenagers and young adults with cancer is fantastic and we couldn't be more proud of their work.”
Every single piece of merchandise and each T-shirt Amnesty item was sold by late Sunday afternoon, proving that this year's festival was a massive success!
