What we offer

We believe in taking good care of everyone who works for us. Join us and you’ll enjoy a comprehensive package of benefits to support your wellbeing, in addition to 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.

At Teenage Cancer Trust we take a holistic approach to wellbeing, across six areas: personal growth, social wellbeing, financial wellbeing, mind and body, work wellbeing, and the working environment.

As well as an extensive range of staff benefits, we have an annual calendar of wellbeing events aimed at raising awareness, educating and supporting staff across these areas.

Work-life balance

We know you have a life outside work, and encourage a healthy work-life balance in a number of ways, including:

  • support for flexible working options to help with family life or study

  • quarterly organisation-wide ‘reset days’ to step away from day-to-day work and refocus

  • ‘finish early Fridays’ in August

  • a leave policy including 3 days in a rolling year to deal with any unexpected home/life situations.

We have core hours, but give you the autonomy to flex around these (in agreement with your manager) to support your individual needs.

We’re proud that 100% of applications to work flexibly were approved in 2021.

Volunteering opportunities

While your role may not mean you work directly with the young people we support, there are always opportunities to get involved – for example, volunteering at the London Marathon, at Find Your Sense of Tumour (our residential event for young people) or our flagship music and comedy fundraising events at the Royal Albert Hall.

We have a great time off in lieu (TOIL) policy to make sure you can rest and recover after all the excitement. And if you have another cause that’s close to your heart, we also offer paid volunteering days to allow you to support those.

What our colleagues say

“I have been going to the chiropractor using my Westfield Health benefits. I was fortunate that I wasn’t in pain but my neck wasn’t aligned correctly resulting in me looking like I was constantly leaning to the side. I don’t have this anymore, all thanks to the chiropractor. My posture when sitting at my desk is so much better than it was also and I am much more aware of how I sit/stand.” Zoe Kiff, HR Manager

“It’s great to be part of a culture that recognises the importance of flexible working and how it impacts wellbeing. I genuinely feel the organisation is progressive and supportive in this space.” Teenage Cancer Trust colleague
