David has a BSc in Nursing Studies.
My job is to ensure that young people with cancer from across the North West have access to age appropriate support and facilities. I’m based at the Christie Hospital in Manchester but work across Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire and the South Cumbria Strategic Clinical Network.
I like to think that I am helping to improve services for young people across the North West by supporting service improvement and building links with colleagues across the region.
The best part of the job is getting to meet young people and their families and friends. I have been lucky to work with many inspiring young people - their attitude and approach to what is one of the most challenging times in their life is what makes the work worthwhile.
Why Teenage Cancer Trust matters
Teenage Cancer Trust helps to allow young people to remain young people during and after their cancer treatment. It does this by funding professionals, environments and activities that all come together to provide age-appropriate support.
