Paul McKenzie

Director of Engagement

“Our work doesn’t happen without our incredible supporters. I am very proud to lead our fundraising team to make sure that every one of the amazing people and organisations that support us understands the difference they make to young people with cancer, every day. Their support has never been so important. That kind of mission makes it easy to get out of bed on a Monday morning.”

Paul McKenzie, Director of Fundraising

I started my career as a support worker and after a few years of that realised that it takes a very special person to support individuals through incredibly difficult times, so I thought if I can’t do it myself, why not fundraise to make sure someone else can do more of it.

I am so lucky that I have found a career that I love so much and get to help incredible people do life changing things. I have been a professional fundraiser for over 16 years, with roles at Depaul UK, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, Age UK and Action for Children.

My favourite thing about my role is working with fundraisers to help them to develop and grow in their careers. Ensuring that every one of them puts the supporters of our charity at the centre of everything we do.
