Challenging

Category: Triathlon

Welcome to the world’s largest triathlon. Set in one of the most famous cities on the planet, get ready to race past iconic London landmarks with the best athletes in the country keeping you company!

With 5 distances available, there’s something to suit everyone.

Super Sprint: 400m Swim, 10km Cycle and 2.5km Run

This option is the shortest distance on offer and is a fantastic introduction to the sport of triathlon. You can complete in either single sex or mixed waves.

Sprint: 750m Swim, 20km Cycle and 5km Run

Challenging, yet achievable, this is the most popular distance. You can complete in either single sex or mixed waves or as a Team Relay.

Olympic: 1,500m Swim, 40km Cycle and 10km Run

The Olympic distance is the standard for a triathlon. Each discipline is tough but manageable. It’s combining all three that ‘separates the men from the boys’.

Olympic Plus: 1,500m Swim, 80km Cycle and 10km Run

The Olympic Plus is not for the faint hearted – a real test of stamina, this distance is reserved for experienced triathlete’s.

Weekend Warrior: The ultimate test in endurance. Entrants attempt to complete as many triathlons as they can during racing hours, over the two days of the event weekend.

5 reasons to join us

We could go on all day about why you should join our team, but that would be boring so we’ll keep it short. Here are our top 5 reasons:

  1. You’ll help young people with cancer.

  2. You’ll receive an exclusive Teenage Cancer Trust top.

  3. You’ll have access to our incredible training zone.

  4. You’ll get all the fundraising help you need to reach your goal.

  5. You can talk to us. We’re here to support you.

How you can help young people

£25 could pay for 1 hour of time for a Youth Support Co-ordinator, who’ll be there for young people and help them get together and support each other.

£50 could buy a round of pizzas for a young person and their friends, which might just be the first thing that tempts a young person out of bed after a gruelling round of chemo.

£100 could pay for 5 hours of time from one of our Multi-Disciplinary Team Co-ordinators, so they can build links with NHS staff, find out about every young cancer patient and arrange the right support.

£230 could buy a real hair wig and salon styling from our Hair4U project – and help make the pain of hair loss a little easier to deal with.

£500 could pay for a young person to make a film to express their feelings and help family and friends understand what they’re going through.
