Monday 8th April 2019
All bikers are welcome to join the seventh Stephen Sutton Ride Out, a spectacular event for owners and lovers of motorcycles, scooters, campervans and classic cars which starts at Lichfield Rugby Club and finishes at Burntwood Rugby Club.
The Ride Out is held annually in memory of the inspirational Stephen Sutton and raises much needed donations for Teenage Cancer Trust. Col and Elle Jacques, organisers of the Ride Out, and their group Friends of Stephen Sutton are encouraging all bikers, scooter groups, classic car groups and anyone else to come along and take part in this fantastic day. The last few years have been blessed with glorious sunshine - fingers crossed for the 2019 Ride Out!
The group’s aim is to continue Stephen’s legacy of fundraising for Teenage Cancer Trust - to date, Stephen's Story has raised more than £5.5 million for Teenage Cancer Trust.
Since the Stephen Sutton Ride Out started in 2013, with Stephen himself taking part in the inaugural event, it has raised an incredible £49,000. This year, the group will celebrate reaching their £50,000 fundraising milestone!
If you can’t ride in the event, the bikers would love to see you cheering them on as they travel through the streets of Lichfield and Burntwood. The Bowling Green will be joining the fun on the day, cheering on bikers as they pass and raising funds at the pub, and everyone is invited to join!
You can find more information about the 7th Stephen Sutton Ride Out, including timings and route, on the event website.
