South West

Daisy Wyatt would have been celebrating her birthday on Christmas Eve; however, she sadly lost her life to cancer last May, at just 14 years old.

In her memory, her long-haired cousin Huey Pearce decided to have his blond locks shaved off, to celebrate what would have been her birthday and to raise money in support of other young people with cancer like Daisy.

Within just 24 hours of the JustGiving page going live, Huey’s friends and family had already pledged nearly £900, and so the target was raised to a further £2,000!

On Christmas Eve, the day of the head shave, Huey spoke to a packed carol service at their local church, before the group moved across the road to The Ley Arms pub in Kenn, Exeter. Once the pub was full, a local hairdresser did her stuff and, within moments, Huey’s locks were gone.

Donate to Huey on JustGiving and support more young people like Daisy

A huge thank you to Huey for taking on this amazing challenge and for raising a staggering £3,700 so far - with more donations still in the buckets!
