West Midlands

On July 18th Teenage Cancer Trust attended a wonderful evening hosted by President Len Harvey and his fellow Rotarians at Aldridge Rotary Club, where guest speaker Grace Higgins showcased the all-important service that we provide to young people with cancer age 13-24 in the West Midlands and beyond.

Mike Campbell of Aldridge Rotary Club said:

Thank you for entertaining us so very well yesterday evening. Your talk was very enlightening. We really enjoyed hosting you and hearing about the work of Teenage Cancer Trust.

Grace Higgins, Regional Fundraising Manager at Teenage Cancer Trust, said:

Thanks so much to Aldridge Rotary Club for their kind and unexpected donation of £400, which will help our team of highly specialist Teenage Cancer Trust nurses and youth support coordinators in the West Midlands to offer support to young people with cancer in their local communities, homes and local hospitals.

"This way of working is being replicated right across the UK to ensure that every young person facing cancer has access to our expect care, regardless of where they live or choose to be treated," Grace explained.

The Rotary Club of Aldridge meets weekly on Thursdays at Druids Heath Golf Club in Aldridge, although there is no requirement to attend every week. Meetings are friendly evening gatherings and new members are most welcome. You can visit Aldridge Rotary Club's website for more information.

If your community group would like to hear more about Teenage Cancer Trust and our work supporting young people with cancer, please email for information.
