London

On Saturday 1 August, hundreds turned up to enjoy a picnic and the annual concert, Music by Twilight. The magical evening was hosted by Sue and David Formosa, and organised by Mick Flinn, all dedicated supporters of Teenage Cancer Trust.

With a warm and exciting atmosphere amongst the crowd, it wasn't long before many were singing and dancing to old classics performed by artists including Craig Joiner, My Generation Band, Donna Jones, Visions of Tina Turner and a tribute to the legendary Jersey Boys - The Other Guys.

Special thanks go to Robert, one of our Young Ambassadors, who spoke during the evening. Robert talked about how we play a real part in helping young people with cancer both while they are in hospital and after they are discharged. Having been diagnosed with cancer in his late teens, Robert has now finished his treatment and is due to start at Southampton University in September.

We would like to thank our generous auction lot donors at Hyatt Regency Churchill who donated a Champagne Afternoon Tea Lot, making £275, and to Stoke Park Country Club whose Afternoon Tea Lot fetched £400 for the charity.

Music by Twilight is one of Teenage Cancer Trust's most successful community events and this year it surpassed all previous fundraising totals. This year's event raised over £30,000, bringing the overall total across 13 concerts to an absolutely phenomenal £300,000. We are incredibly grateful to everyone involved in raising such an incredible amount for us.
