Teenage Cancer Trust Jersey Appeal has been chosen as the latest charity to feature on the side of a new Jersey dustcart. The dustcart is now in circulation and will be used on the island for up to 10 years!

The Jersey dustcart application was submitted to the Parish of St Helier in competition with many other charities. The dustcart artwork is sponsored by Jack Butel Racing. The Teenage Cancer Trust Jersey Committee work tirelessly on the island to raise money and awareness and are delighted that the application was a success.

Liz Barlow, Chair of the Teenage Cancer Trust Jersey Committee, said "This is really fantastic news for the charity. We are very grateful to the Parish of St Helier for giving us the opportunity to create a moving billboard providing constant awareness of our charity to the islanders. It looks great!"

Regional Fundraiser Amanda Hetherington recently went to see the new cart and said "We are absolutely delighted to be able to continue increasing our profile on Jersey with this new dustcart. Raising awareness of the work we do to help young cancer patients is crucial as we still have so much that we want to achieve on the island. As well as funding our outreach services, we plan to ensure we approach every upper school and college in Jersey to help young people understand and recognise the signs and symptoms of cancer.

We would like to thank our amazing Jersey Committee, as well as Jack Butel Racing and the Parish of St Helier. This has been a real team effort and having our message on the new dustcart in Jersey is fantastic.

The Teenage Cancer Trust Jersey Appeal is calling for continued support to maintain the service locally and raise much needed funds.
