Sutton High School raised an incredible £3,106.33 during their recent charity week. They chose to support Teenage Cancer Trust and two other charities - Harrison’s Fund and Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice. Each chairty has received an amazing £900.
Teacher Hannah Harvey supported the sixth form girls with their fundraising and the two Head Girls, Danielle and Jade, took the lead on organizing this week.
The students kickstarted the week by making a Charity Week banner with their handprints, which was displayed in the hall. Events during the week included learning dance routines, manning various stalls and a photobooth, running boxercise class, a sponsored read-a-thon and much more!
The week finished with a fancy dress day, with the girls and staff dressing up as film and TV characters and singing along to High School Musical 2 after school, whilst eating popcorn, pizzas and ice cream!
The week was a great success, with generous donations collected from girls in exchange for the many activities on offer. Huge thanks to the staff, students and parents for their support.
