Our very own Hailey Amani paid a visit to William de Ferrers School in November for the presentation of an incredibly generous £14,000 cheque! The money was raised over the Summer as part of their annual Sponsor Day, in which students from years 7-9 come together to raise money for charity, with volunteer year 12s on hand to take on the leadership roles.
Teenage Cancer Trust’s relationship with William de Ferrers School has now reached its 10th year and they have said of working with us:
Thank you to everyone that has contributed to our fundraising efforts and raising this fantastic amount for a very worthy cause.
Hailey who was able to attend a cheque presentation at the school on the 14th of November, had this to say:
Teenage Cancer Trust were overwhelmed, once again, by the generosity of the William de Ferrers staff, students and their friends and families. Together they have raised over £14,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust, which will have such an impact on the lives of the 7 young people diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. This takes the school’s fundraising for the charity up to just shy of £100,000 in the 10 years they have been supporting us. This is a phenomenal total and we can’t thank them enough. William de Ferrers is such a special school and we are very proud to work with them.
From everyone at Teenage Cancer Trust, we are so grateful to everyone who has been involved with helping William de Ferrers School reach their total of almost £100,000 over the past ten years. The money they have raised will go such a long way towards helping us make sure no young person faces cancer alone. Thank you William de Ferrers School!
