This year MandM Direct's Chairman and Chief Operating Officer were part of an 18-strong team of employees from the organisation who took on our London to Paris cycle challenge - pushing the company's total amount raised for us to an awesome £1.5million!
Spearheaded by Chairman, Mike Tomkins, and COO Damian Evans, the team raised over £50,000 from charitable donations of friends, family, suppliers and followers on their social media channels. Of the ride, Mike says:
I am delighted to announce that after a successful charity team bike ride from London to Paris we have now surpassed £1.5 million in donations to Teenage Cancer Trust. Our commitment to this fantastic national charity will continue to help them maintain and build more units across the country. Our staff at MandM Direct should feel extremely proud of this achievement.
Kate Collins, Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Teenage Cancer Trust comments: "It's been an amazing 12 years of support, and the passion and commitment shown by Mike and the whole team at MandM Direct for Teenage Cancer Trust goes from strength to strength. Lots can change in 12 years but what never changes is MandM Direct's unwavering support and commitment to making sure no young person faces cancer alone. £1.5 million is an incredible achievement and is helping us provide the best support at the worst time. Our supporters make our work possible and on behalf of all the young people who have benefited from your support so far and for those who will benefit in the future, a heartfelt thank you to everyone at MandM Direct: we are all looking forward to working with you to change lives for many years to come."
We are also delighted that MandM Direct also extended their brilliant support by becoming sponsors of the 2017 and 2018 Virgin Money London Marathon Teenage Cancer Trust running teams.
