PageGroup selected Teenage Cancer Trust in a UK-wide staff vote in 2015 and pledged to raise enough money to fund 8,000 hours of vital care for young people with cancer.

In May 2016, we celebrated our one year anniversary and employees had already raised an incredible £102,213.47.

After a fantastic 2 years, our partnership has come to an end and we are delighted to announce that the company has raised an incredible £176,472.36 in total.

We've seen bake sales, pub quizzes, fancy dress, Halloween heroes, two Yorkshire three peaks events, staff taking on the London Marathon, Tough Mudders, fundraising days, trolley dashes, raffles, race nights, 5-a-side football matches and comedy nights…. It has been brilliant.

Oliver Watson, Managing Director at PageGroup, said:

As a worldwide leader in specialist recruitment, we understand better than anyone the importance of having the right people to get a job done. We are thrilled to help Teenage Cancer Trust support their highly-skilled and dedicated workforce to continuously provide the best possible care and treatment for young people with cancer.

"We were shocked to discover that cancer kills more young people than any other disease in the UK and seven people aged 13-24 are diagnosed every day. It’s important for us to support charity projects where we see a tangible difference and the Expert Care Programme is an exemplary model of this. Teenage Cancer Trust patients will receive one hour of expert care for every £25 raised by a PageGroup employee."

Currently, Teenage Cancer Trust are only able to reach half of young people with cancer in the UK. This means that the other half aren’t receiving the best treatment or care specific to their needs. But we’re aiming to change that. By 2020 we will be reaching every young person with cancer and it’s the help from supporters like PageGroup who will carry us ever closer to our goal.

We are truly grateful for all of the support and we hope everyone has had as much fun as we have!
