Calling all Cheerers, Photographers and Massage Therapists!

The Great North Run is a very important event in our calendar as our runners take on 13.1 miles of the world's biggest half marathon from Newcastle to South Shields.

We need some enthusiastic volunteers to help support #TeamTeenageCancer on their quest to complete this gruelling challenge. This year over 180 Teenage Cancer Trust runners are taking part to help raise money to support our work!

On challenge days we want to give supporters the best possible experience, and that includes capturing the special moments and encouraging our runners and that's where you come in...

Can YOU help us?

We are looking for:

  •  Professional or semi-professional massage therapists to help our runners recover from their ailments.
  •  Talented and amatuer photographers/photography students willing to capture the highlights fo the day.
  •  Enthusiastic cheerers to join our squad and encourage our tired runners to keep going!

Here's what one of our previous volunteers, Lauren, said about volunteering

We had such a fabulous day - what a great atmosphere for such a great cause!

We would love to have you volunteer with us in any way you can for The Great North Run, whether it's taking a few great snapscheering on our runners or soothing their aches and pains!

Time: We ask volunteers to give 2-4 hours of their time to help support us at this event.

Date: Sunday 11 September 2016

Location: Great North Run Route, Newcastle

If you'd like to volunteer with us in one of the above roles, email volunteers@teenagecancertrust.org or call 020 7612 0370 to have a chat about the role!
