Zak, 17, from Bristol, was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukaemia at 16 after experiencing symptoms including severe fatigue, bleeding and frequent nosebleeds.
Zak says: “Being diagnosed with cancer at 16 was a huge shock and treatment was tough in lots of ways. Teenage Cancer Trust helped me feel understood and supported, and being around other young people going through similar things made a big difference. I’m proud to be part of the campaign and help show how important that support can be.”
As part of this year’s initiative, Zak attended a special track day at Silverstone, and had the opportunity to take part in activities including go-karting at the iconic circuit.
