Events for young people

We run the only national events for young people with cancer. We bring young people with cancer together to share experiences, develop life skills, build connections – and most importantly have some fun.

Find Your Sense of Tumour

FYSOT is your chance to have a laugh, get advice and be inspired with other young people your age who’ve had cancer.

Young people having fun at FYSOT 2019 Over 18s

In a room where everyone knows what having cancer is like, you don’t need to explain or justify yourself. Cancer becomes something you have in common, not something that sets you apart.

Realising your experiences are shared and knowing you’re part of a community helps young people feel positive and empowered. We also give them all the information and support they need at a critical point in their recovery, on topics like fertility, nutrition, exercise, employment and more.

It’s great that I’ve extended my friendship circle with people who can relate to what I’ve been through.
