Support our work

The Teenage Cancer Trust Unit at The Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh was opened in October 2009.

This is an interim unit, and will be replaced by a unit within the new children’s hospital in Edinburgh, this is expected to be completed in 2018.

Teenage Cancer Trust fund 1 member of expert staff at the unit:

  • Youth Support Coordinator

We also fund a national Lead Nurse for Scotland in partnership with the Managed Service Network (MSN) for Children and Young People with Cancer.

They ensure the best possible quality care is given so that the young person is treated as a young person first and cancer patient second.
