Explore the Garden of England – Take on the Kent Downs Challenge for Young People with Cancer

Celebrate the end of the season with an unforgettable challenge through the heart of the Kent countryside – and help Teenage Cancer Trust support young people facing cancer.

Participants smile with a view of the beautiful Kent Downs

Starting from basecamp near Maidstone, this 50km looped route follows a beautiful stretch of the North Downs Way, taking in Blue Bell Hill, the peaceful River Medway, and a halfway break at Mote Park for a well-earned picnic. From there, it’s along the Len Valley Walk, past the stunning Leeds Castle, before circling back to a buzzing finish line at the Kent Showground.

Join up to 2,000 adventurers and choose your pace – walk, jog, or run – with options for the full 50km, a 25km, or a 10km challenge. Take it on solo or with a team – and raise vital funds to help ensure no young person faces cancer alone.

Enjoy full support all the way – with rest stops, hot meals, snacks & drinks, medical & welfare teams, optional camping & transfers, and a special medal, T-shirt, and celebration when you cross the finish line.

Make 2026 your year to go further – sign up for the Kent Downs Ultra Challenge and make every kilometre count for Teenage Cancer Trust.

Why support Teenage Cancer Trust

Young person on hospital bed talking with Teenage Cancer Trust nurse

We create world class cancer services for young people in the UK, providing life-changing care and support so young people don’t have to face cancer alone.

Every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words “you have cancer”. They will each need specialised nursing care and support to get them through the toughest times they may have faced.

We’re the only UK charity dedicated to meeting this vital need. By choosing to run for Teenage Cancer Trust, you can help us to reach every young person facing cancer and make a huge difference.

So you know we’re the real deal, these are our registered charity details: 1062559 (England & Wales), SC039757 (Scotland).
