A Day in the Life
Be the difference for Teenage Cancer Trust
Every day seven young people aged 13-24 hear the devastating words, “you have cancer.”
And each day, in our 28 dedicated cancer units and in communities across the UK, we’re there for them – so that no young person faces cancer alone.
By becoming a ‘Day in the Life’ supporter you can make one of those days possible.
Every day that we can change lives is special. By pledging £30,000 to fund our life changing work across the UK for 24 hours, you could make one of those days happen:
-
A day when our unique teenage and young adult wards provide a home from home where young people can receive round-the-clock, world class care.
-
A day when we connect young people with others their own age going through cancer, so they don’t feel alone.
-
A day when we talk through their worries and get answers to their questions, so they feel more in control.
-
A day when we support young people to keep up with their studies, career and life goals, so they can recover and live life to the full.
The nurses are probably a big reason why I’m still alive. Whenever I go into the hospital, they feel like my second family.
A day to remember
What happens on the day
-
You can choose the date on which to give your support, on a day that’s special for you. It might be your birthday, an anniversary, or even a day when you want to remember somebody.
What you’ll get:
-
A personal report from our frontline services on the day itself, so you’ll know exactly what difference your support makes.
-
A unique commemorative book, to keep and treasure.
-
The knowledge that you’ve made our vital work possible, so we can be there for young people facing cancer across the UK.
Act now
We can only be there for young people with cancer because you – and others like you – are there for them.
