Mission Unstoppable

Take on this Apprentice-style challenge to raise vital money for young people with cancer.

Mission Unstoppable is an innovative three-month fundraising challenge designed to broaden networks, develop new skills and raise vital funds for young people with cancer.

We’re calling on teams of 8 to 15 employees to create a business plan outlining an unstoppable fundraising idea.

Each team will be invited to pitch their plan for seed funding of up to £1,000 (to be provided by your company). With seed funding secured, teams will then have 3 months to compete to raise as much as possible for Teenage Cancer Trust!

Are you ready to accept your mission and be part of an unstoppable force that’s getting young people through cancer?

Why support Teenage Cancer Trust

A young person talking with a Teenage Cancer Trust nurse

Every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words “you have cancer”. Cancer throws young people’s lives into chaos, leaving them feeling isolated, scared and out of control, and it can have a lasting impact on their future, even for those who recover.

At Teenage Cancer Trust we not only make sure young people with cancer get the best possible treatment, we also help them hold on to their identity, their independence, and their dreams – because that’s what getting through cancer looks like.

We’re the only UK charity dedicated to meeting this vital need. By choosing to take on this challenge for Teenage Cancer Trust, you can help us to reach every young person facing cancer and make a huge difference.

So you know we’re the real deal, these are our registered charity details: 1062559 (England & Wales), SC039757 (Scotland).

Top FAQs

Where does the seed funding come from?

This year we are asking companies to support Mission Unstoppable by providing the seed funding for your team/s. There are a number of ways you can do this, including setting up budget lines or expenses payments and you are even welcome to claim back the £1,000 if your fundraising goes over the £10,000 mark.

With 8 – 15 employees per team taking part, Mission Unstoppable works out as a relatively low-cost development and learning tool for businesses.

My workplace already has a chosen a charity (not Teenage Cancer Trust) – can we still take part?

Yes of course. However, Mission Unstoppable is a Teenage Cancer Trust event therefore all income raised using must benefit Teenage Cancer Trust. It cannot be split with other charities. It’s worth noting that Mission Unstoppable is a learning and development challenge. Therefore, the challenge can work hand in hand with your current charity of the year partnership!

My workplace has already chosen Teenage Cancer Trust as its Charity of the Year. Can we add our overall Mission Unstoppable total to what we’ve raised so far through other activities?

Absolutely! All activities and events organised during Mission Unstoppable can count towards your overall Charity of the Year target. Just make sure this is recorded separately throughout the challenge so we can ensure none of your general fundraising has been attributed to your Mission Unstoppable total.

Does all of the fundraising have to be completed within 3 months?

Yes. The competition runs from 4 March 2024 to 3 June 2024. All of the donations to be included towards your Mission Unstoppable funds will need to be paid in by 10 June 2024.

Can we raise funds using a commercial product?

Yes absolutely. We advise companies to utilise their assets as a business to raise funds in the competition. Setting up a commercial initiative can take time, so get in touch with your Teenage Cancer Trust contact as soon as possible to arrange this.
