Aldi Store Collections for Run the Region challenge

We’re looking for volunteers to collect donations at an ALDI store as part of their Run the Region challenge. 

About the event: Aldi store colleagues will be running a relay between every store in the region, from Cardigan to Camborne. We need support with bucket collections at a few stores along the route in South Wales and South West England.

Your support makes sure every young person with cancer gets the best care and support.

  • Gabalfa - Cardiff ALDI - Thursday 23rd July

  • Seaton ALDI - Friday 31st July
  • Topsham ALDI - Sunday 2nd August
  • Derriford (Plymouth) ALDI - Monday 3rd August
  • Bodmin ALDI Tuesday 4th August
  • Camborne ALDI Thursday 6th August

Time: Exact collection times will be confirmed closer to the event.

Supported by: An on-call member of Teenage Cancer Trust staff (name and number will be in your briefing email closer to the opportunity)

What will I do?

  • You will be collecting bucket and contactless donations from shoppers
  • Help raise awareness and engage the public with our work, simply by being there in our branding
  • Be a friendly and approachable face of the charity

What will I gain?

  • Support from a member of Teenage Cancer Trust Staff on-call
  • Ultimately help Teenage Cancer Trust to make sure every young person with cancer gets the best care and support
  • Reasonable travel expenses of £25 per volunteer per day will be reimbursed in line with our volunteer expenses policy.

What skills do I need?

  • Enthusiasm for the work of Teenage Cancer Trust
  • The ability to engage with the public
  • Reliability and punctuality
