Royal Orthopaedic Hospital
The Ward 3 Teenage Cancer Trust young adult area for 16-24 year olds has three in-patient bedrooms. Our unit has a teenage and young adult social space with a TV, gaming, kitchenette and comfy and cosy soft furnishings. We also provide free Teenage Cancer Trust Wifi and laptops.
Teenage Cancer Trust funds two expert staff at the unit:
Our staff make sure each person having treatment on our ward gets the best possible quality care and is treated as a young person first, cancer patient second.
We opened the Ward 3 Teenage Cancer Trust young adult area at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham in July 2013. We have also designed a dedicated teenage and young adult bed space in the recovery suite in theatre, and the high dependency unit.
