Young Lives vs Cancer

Young Lives vs Cancer devotes itself to children under 16 and young people aged 16-24, offering financial and emotional support services to those faced with a cancer diagnosis. Young Lives vs Cancer can be particularly useful with practical information, providing guidance on how to maintain a relatively normal life with work/studying/friends while battling cancer.

Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust provides sailing trips to help boost the confidence of young people aged 8-24 after being treated for cancer.

CCLG – The Children and Young People’s Cancer Association

CCLG funds medical research into new treatments and a cure for cancer. They also provide information to educate and support people dealing with cancer.

Cancer Research UK

Cancer Research funds medical specialists to help beat cancer, while using their findings to advise government on related policy decisions.

Macmillan Cancer Support

Macmillan Cancer Support works to provide a range of services for cancer patients and their families. These vary from financial and practical advice, to providing Macmillan nurses in hospitals around the country, and campaigning for better care from our Government.

Maggie’s

Maggie’s offers free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their families and friends. Help is offered freely to anyone with any type of cancer. Simply drop-in to their centres at any time - you’re always welcome.

The Bone Cancer Research Trust supports people affected by primary bone cancer. 

Blood Cancer UK 

Blood Cancer UK is dedicated to beating leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and all types of blood cancer.

Brain Tumour Charity

Brain Tumour Charity supports scientific and clinical research into brain tumours and offers support and information to those affected, while raising awareness and influencing policy. 

CoppaFeel!

CoppaFeel! is the UK’s only youth-focused breast cancer awareness charity.

Lymphoma Action

Lymphoma Action is a charity dedicated to lymphoma, the most common blood cancer

The OddBalls Foundation

The OddBalls Foundation raises awareness of Testicular Cancer - the most common cancer affecting men aged 15 - 49 in the UK.

Melanoma Focus

Melanoma Focus provides support and information for patients, carers and healthcare professionals while commissioning and funding innovative research.

Sarcoma UK

Sarcoma UK is a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments.

The Eve Appeal

The Eve Appeal’s aim is to prevent the five gynae cancers from developing in the first place, and making sure if they do develop that they’re detected early so more people survive their diagnosis.

Anthony Nolan saves and improves the lives of people with blood cancer and blood disorders.

Cyclists Fighting Cancer

Cyclists Fighting Cancer enables children and young people living with cancer across the UK to regain their physical fitness, strength and confidence by giving them new bikes, adapted trikes, tandems, other equipment and support.

Little Princess Trust 

Little Princess Trust works with suppliers all across the UK and Ireland to provide good quality wigs to children who have lost their hair from cancer treatments.

Look Good Feel Better

Look Good Feel Better offers international support to women and teenagers in relation to the visible side effects of cancer. Their aim is to help boost self-confidence and a sense of control often lost when faced with a cancer diagnosis.

Marie Curie

Marie Curie offers expert care, guidance and support, for people living with any terminal illness, and their families, to help them get the most from the time they have left.

Mummy’s Star

Mummy’s Star delivers care and support to families dealing with cancer during pregnancy across the UK. This is done with a range of information for families to seek advice from, as well as a confidential forum for women to share their experiences with similar individuals.

Super Shoes

Super Shoes gift personalised shoes to young people under the age of 18, living with cancer. These shoes are designed with the individuality of the child in mind, reminding them of who they are beyond their diagnosis.

Teens Unite

Teens Unite Fighting Cancer is dedicated to improving the lives of young people aged 13-24, with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. Support includes fun days out such as concerts, football matches, art and beauty workshops and a respite residential care centre in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire.

Trekstock: Life Alongside cancer

Trekstock helps those in their 20s, 30s and 40s navigate life with and beyond cancer.

If something’s troubling you, then get in touch. Samaritans provides confidential support to anyone in the UK 365 days a year, 24 hours a day whether you call, email, text, write or talk to them face-to-face.

Shout

Shout is the UK’s first and only free, confidential, 24/7 text messaging service for anyone who is struggling to cope.

The Mix

The Mix provides essential support for people under the age of 25. They have support groups, discussion boards and 1-2-1 counselling services.

Hope Again

Hope Again is Cruse Bereavement Care’s website for young people. Cruse is a national charity that provides support, advice and information to children, young people and adults when someone close to them dies. Hope Again provides a place for young people to share their stories and listen to others’ experiences after losing a loved one.

Winston’s Wish

Winston’s Wish offers support and guidance to children, young people and families who have suffered the loss of a parent or sibling. Winston’s Wish delivers a range of practical and emotional help to the bereaved, with the aim to assist them with dealing with their grief and moving forward with their lives.

Brook provides information and support on everything related to sexual health and wellbeing and believes everyone should be supported to live healthy lives, free from inequality and strengthened by fulfilling relationships. 

Drinkaware

Drinkaware aims to change the UK’s drinking habits for the better, and its free service can support you to cut down your drinking.

Smokefree

Smokefree provides free support and advice and to help you stop smoking.

Our Aim Appeals

Our Aim raises funds to provide financial assistance to families and individuals facing serious and costly illnesses. It can help with travelling expenses, paying for specialist equipment, and even offering well-needed holiday breaks.

Youth Cancer Trust

The Youth Cancer Trust works around the UK, offering free adventure holidays to young people (over 18 and diagnosed before 30) living and beyond cancer. These holidays allows young people to meet others in similar situations, to share their experiences and have fun with their peers.

Dreams come True

Dreams Come True fulfils the dreams of young people aged 2-21 with life-threatening illnesses.

Harley Staples

The Harley Staples Cancer Trust offers families with a young person up to the age of 24 dealing with cancer, a holiday in Norfolk to take a much-needed break. They also offer the very special gift of fingerprint jewellery to parents and the immediate family of children who have received a terminal diagnosis.

Rays of Sunshine

Rays of Sunshine grants wishes to young people aged 3-18 with serious illnesses. It has granted wishes ranging from meeting Simon Cowell to bringing two penguins to a hospice.
