Daisychain Benevolent Fund Head of Retail, Davina Roberts, said:
The partnership with Teenage Cancer Trust is fantastic and I would really like to thank our staff, suppliers, donors and customers for all they have done in helping us to raise half a million pounds for the charity. We really do appreciate everyone's help and look forward to further celebrations in the future!

Our partnership with Daisychain Benevolent Fund Trust has helped us provide world class specialist nursing care to young people diagnosed with cancer.

Every year, approximately 220 young people are diagnosed with cancer in the West Midlands region. We fund three specialist units in the region: Birmingham Children's Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, and the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham. As part of our Nursing & Support Service, we're also working with an additional 7 NHS Hospital Trusts across the Midlands, including University Hospital North Midlands NHS Trust, to provide the support of a Teenage Cancer nurse specialist.

"Thanks to the money raised by supporters like Daisychain Benevolent Fund Trust, we have been able to expand our service in the region and get ever closer to ensuring that every young person diagnosed with cancer doesn't face it alone but has access to one of our nurses who provide age-appropriate care," said Grace Higgins, Regional Fundraising Manager at Teenage Cancer Trust.

Teenage Cancer Trust is very grateful to everyone at Daisychain Benevolent Fund for raising this amazing amount of money to support our work and we are looking forward to this partnership reaching its next milestone.
