Dobbies annual fundraising events

Key to our partnership with Dobbies Garden Centres are a set of three annual in-store fundraising events in the lead up to Christmas. We’re looking for volunteers to support these events by getting involved in hands-on fundraising. The events are: 
 

10 Oct: Christmas Charity Night is a wonderful opportunity to preview the new Christmas range instore. Dobbies’ customers support this event by purchasing tickets to attend for £1, with all proceeds from ticket sales and fundraising on the night coming to Teenage Cancer Trust.

    24 Nov: Santa’s arrival is a celebration of Santa arriving and making his way to the grotto. The event has a party atmosphere with fun for all the family.

    28 Nov: Ladies’ Night activities vary from store to store but will often feature the opportunity to be pampered by local manicurists, masseurs, make-up artists, grab a refreshment and browse stands from jewellery-makers. Despite the name, ladies’ night is not ladies only, all are welcome! Customers support this evening by purchasing tickets to attend for £1, with all proceeds from ticket sales and fundraising on the night coming to Teenage Cancer Trust.

    Aldi collection weekend (Halloween edition)

    Join us for our third national Aldi collection weekend this year, collecting donations from customers instore on Saturday 26 or Sunday 27 October. Don your Halloween costume and pick a store local to you, to help us raise more money than ever to support young people living with cancer.

    Zip Wire for Stephen Volunteer Photographer

    We’re looking for volunteer photographers to support at our Zip Wire for Stephen event on Saturday 7th September 2019. Zip Wire for Stephen is a challenge event in memory of Teenage Cancer Trust ambassador and fundraiser Stephen Sutton, who passed away five years ago this May.    

    We’re recruiting a volunteer photographer for this event, and we want to be able to give supporters and participants the best possible experience, and that includes capturing the atmosphere of the day, and that’s where you come in!

    It’s a wonderful opporunity for you to raise awareness of Teenage Cancer Trusts work in the local community and be part of helping Stephen's Story reach its next major fundraising milestone of £6 million.

    Children’s activity volunteer

    Barburrito have a corporate partnership with Teenage Cancer Trust and are looking to run some fundraising activities in their branches for their customers over the summer holidays.

    To support this, we are looking to recruit children’s activity volunteers to deliver face painting or balloon modelling and/or glitter tattoo artist for Barburrito customers, in lieu of donations

    Volunteers must be fully trained, have own equipment, be DBS checked and have own public liability insurance.

    MC Special Event Committee

    Do you have a flair for event planning and a passion for fundraising? We're looking for people to join our Manchester Special Event project group.

    You'll join forces with other young professionals from companies across Manchester to deliver an event to support young people with cancer in the North West. This follows the incredible success of the first event, the Manchester Black and White Ball, held in 2017.  

    Don't worry, you won't be on your own - the new committee will be supported by our regional fundraising team. The team will provide you with all the support, ideas and info you need to help organise and run the event.

    Whether you are a new or existing supporter of Teenage Cancer Trust this is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and support our charity. And you'll be doing all this while meeting new people and creating an amazing event to be proud of!

    Manchester Special Event Project Group Volunteer

     

    Community Fundraising Speaker Volunteer

    We're looking for people to represent Teenage Cancer Trust by delivering talks and manning information stands in the North West.

    You'll be delivering talks to audiences such as Rotary Clubs, Social Groups or Women's Institute members. And you'll also assist with activities such as cheque presentations and press calls.

    This will help us reach more people and raise more money to support young people with cancer in the North West. As well as supporting us, this is a great chance to develop your public speaking skills and boost your confidence.

    Edinburgh Theatre Bucket Collection Volunteers 2019

    Join us at the Kings Theatre Edinburgh and the Festival Theatre Edinburgh to be part of a bucket collection for Teenage Cancer Trust. We have a number of different dates on offer across September to December 2019. Come and join us and be a bucket boss by collecting donations from the public at the end of theatre performances.
