In July our policy team and colleagues will be heading to the Houses of Parliament to talk all things cancer education in schools. Find out more about our preparations and for a sneak peek of our new report that's launching on the day...

4 months to go…

We've booked our venue at the House of Commons and confirmed that Karen Lumley MP is kindly sponsoring the event. Now to get our invites emailed out to stakeholders from across the health and education sectors – so many people are interested in educating young people about healthy living and cancer prevention, let's hope we can fit everyone in!

2 months to go…

Our new education reports have arrived! We're so excited to be launching the document at the reception, and looking forward to sharing it with everyone through our website on the day too. There's lots of powerful evidence about the impact of cancer education on young people's knowledge and behaviours so this new report pulling everything together will be hard to ignore.

1 month to go…

We're making final preparations for July's event. Bags are being packed with the new report and information about the wider services we provide at Teenage Cancer Trust. We want every attendee at the event to understand the unique needs of young people with cancer, and why education about cancer at a young age is the best tool we can give young people to improve their diagnosis experience and encourage cancer prevention for later life.

That's all we can tell you for now, but keep an eye on our website, Facebook and Twitter in the next few weeks to see the report launch. And if you're interested in finding out more, why not read about the support for cancer education in England and Scotland's cancer strategies, or look at the work our education team are doing across the UK. As always, you can get in touch with any questions or comments.
