As leaders in their fields, our Icons can open up new and creative ways to raise awareness of our work, improve the experience of young people with cancer, raise vital funds and drive real change to services.
Our Icons are as determined as we are to make sure no young person faces cancer alone.
Romesh Ranganathan
Stand-up comedian, presenter, podcaster and actor Romesh Ranganathan became Teenage Cancer Trust’s Comedy Icon in September 2023. Romesh first became involved with Teenage Cancer Trust after performing at the iconic Royal Albert Hall comedy night in 2016, and since then has remained an active fundraiser for the charity.
Ethan Payne
Ethan, also known as Behzinga, became the charity’s Content Icon in September 2023 having become an ambassador a year before, when he helped Teenage Cancer Trust become one of the the beneficiaries for the Sidemen’s 2022 charity football match, raising over £1m in total and breaking a Guinness World Record for the most watched live sports event ever on Youtube.
Vicky McClure
Vicky McClure’s first act in her Icons role was to curate This is Nottingham, celebrating incredible talent from the original Rebel City. Headlined by MOBO Best Breakthrough Artist winner Bru-C and supported by her hometown’s own rap acts Jah Digga and Kingdom Rapper at Nottingham’s Metronome. As well as curating the line up, the BAFTA winner also worked with Nottingham students to create merchandise to help raise more funds for young people facing cancer. Keep an eye out for her next projects to be taking place throughout 2023.
