BAFTA winner Vicky McClure MBE has spent two decades gracing some of Britain’s most popular TV shows and movies - from This Is England to Line Of Duty she is one of the nations most in demand talents.

In November 2022 Vicky became Teenage Cancer Trust’s first Icon - high-profile figures across the entertainment industry who have volunteered to give a year of their time to raise at least vital support services for young people with cancer aged 13-24, and greater awareness of the huge challenges they face in life.

In her first act as an Icon, Vicky curated and launched This is Nottingham, a homage to her BAFTA winning performance in This Is England, which took place at the Metronome, Nottingham, on Saturday 3 December.

Why support Teenage Cancer Trust

We create world class cancer services for young people in the UK, providing life-changing care and support so young people don’t have to face cancer alone.

Every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words “you have cancer”. They will each need specialised nursing care and support to get them through the toughest times they may have faced.

We’re the only UK charity dedicated to meeting this vital need. By choosing to run for Teenage Cancer Trust, you can help us to reach every young person facing cancer and make a huge difference.

So you know we’re the real deal, these are our registered charity details: 1062559 (England & Wales), SC039757 (Scotland).
