The T12 Teenage Cancer Trust Unit was first opened in 2005. Working together with our hospital partners and design teams, we delivered a full refurbishment of T12 including all the bed spaces, corridors and recreation room. This was officially opened to patients in November 2016.
Teenage Cancer Trust fund three expert staff at the unit:
- Nurse Consultant for London
- Two Youth Support Coordinators
They ensure the best possible quality care is given so that the young person is treated as a young person first and cancer patient second.
T13N is a nominated 12 bed in-patient beds for young adults aged 20 -24 years on an 24 bed adult haematology ward. Teenage Cancer Trust have enhanced a social space on this ward and there is a funded Youth Support Coordinator based on T13.
