Weston Park Hospital
Our Teenage Cancer Trust Young Person’s Unit at Weston Park Hospital in Sheffield is designed for 16-24 year olds and has five in-patient beds. All bedrooms are equipped with comfy soft furnishings, bespoke furniture, mood lighting, TV, DVD and gaming. Plus, we provide laptops and free Wifi.
Teenage Cancer Trust funds three expert staff at the unit:
- One Lead Nurse for Sheffield
- Two Youth Support Coordinators
They make sure each person having treatment on our ward gets the best possible quality care and is treated as a young person first, cancer patient second.
We opened our original Teenage Cancer Trust Young Person’s Unit at Weston Park Hospital in 2002 and refurbished it in 2015.
