Our approach to development is inclusive, with a one-team ethos that helps us attract, develop, engage and retain colleagues with a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences.

Here are some of the things we offer: 

  • Strengths profiling (Cappfinity) for individuals and teams to support managers in understanding and developing their teams. 

  • A comprehensive capability development hub providing tools and guidance on ways of working that help us role model our values and deliver our operational plans.  

  • Coaching, peer support, and mentoring. 

  • Opportunities to learn new skills and apply training and development through secondments and cross-department project-based work. 

  • Leadership development via ‘Leadership Skills for the Digital Age’, a 10-week development programme via the IMD Business School. 

  • Fully funded apprenticeships for people at all stages of their career. We are currently supporting colleagues to complete apprenticeships in data and business transformation.  

  • Financial support to complete professional development and qualifications through an annual application process.  

  • Paid days off to study and sit examinations. 

  • Quarterly “reset days” that allow people to step back from day-to-day work and meetings to focus on personal development.
